Hunterson is produced by one person. This note says what happens if the producer cannot continue, for a time or for good.
A missed day is handled by the methodology: if the test does not run, the day is marked "not published" with the reason (section 9).
If the producer cannot oversee the figures, publication is suspended, and a notice on the site says so, with the date of the last assessment. The suspension is automatic: the publishing step stops by itself if the producer has not confirmed oversight within the previous 45 days, and posts the notice.
No figure is published while publication is suspended. When it resumes, the gap is shown as a break in the series.
If Hunterson stops for good, the site keeps every published figure, the methodology and the evidence, and says so. The fingerprints and timestamp proofs are in the public domain and stay public. The raw records are kept for at least five years, so that any figure can still be checked against its evidence.
If Hunterson is transferred, it is transferred only to a successor that takes on the data licence's commitments to registered users, the methodology and this note. Registered users are told before it happens.
Registered users are told directly of any suspension, resumption, closure or transfer, under the data licence.
